Pura

A chunky necklace lover’s dream! The Pura features glossy red glass rondelle beads sandwiched in between pearlized white seed beads and a round freshwater pearl disk hanging front and center. 16 inches + 2 inch extender. Gold-plated findings. 

Named after Pura Belpré , who was the first Puerto Rican librarian in the New York Public Library system. Pura saw the value of providing Spanish language stories to Latino children and noticed the lack of representation for kids, so decided to write stories for them.
